Genetic Home Reference says some “Characteristic features of achondroplasia include an average-size trunk, short arms and legs with particularly short upper arms and thighs, limited range of motion at the elbows, and an enlarged head (macrocephaly) with a prominent forehead”. people with Achondroplasia usually have short fingers and the middle and ring fingers sometimes separate making your hand look like a three pronged trident. Some challenges with Achondroplasia is a hard time breathing, being shorter than everyone else and sometimes being obese. Another challenge is having to have a custom made car, house, clothing, etcetera for your size. There are no treatments for achondroplasia but you can treat some of the problems caused by it, such as spinal compression.
